I couldn't wait to get out to the track this morning.
It has become quite the sacred place to me. Every morning I've been out there by myself able to say and do whatever I feel. Yesterday, I literally walked around in thick fog not able to see from one end of the track to the other. Totally secluded. It was great. This morning I had a list in my mind of everything I wanted to say as loud as I could to the Lord. The track.........I would get the kids to school and then head to the track. Yes, it would be good.
I pulled into the parking lot and was met with several other people getting out of their cars to head to the track too.
What are they doing here??!! They are never here. Don't they know the weather is changing tomorrow and they are not doing themselves any good to start this today. They need to leave. Ugh. Irritation.
So "Plan B" was put into place as I grabbed my ipod and plugged my ears with the earphones. I would just have to listen instead.
And the music played........
"Our God is greater, Our God is stronger....God you are higher than any other.......Our God is healer....Awesome in power.....Our God, Our God." (Chris Tomlin)
"Take my moments and my days, let each breath that I take be ever holy for you, O God. Here I stand arms open wide.........I am Yours and You are mine. ......My whole life is yours, surrendered to your name....and forever I will pray 'Have Your Way.'" (Hillsong United)
"Here at your feet...I lay this day down, not in my strength, but in yours I've found, All I need......You're all I need......Jesus! Jesus! At your feet. Oh!.... to dwell and never leave......there is nowhere else for me.......because I am free......all I need......I find peace.....here at your feet." (Casting Crowns)
Oh, Lord.......that is who you are. And You are mine!!! Oh, Lord.......so great a gift. So great.
The others left the track, and I was alone again.
And I felt the Lord saying to me, "Now, what were you going to say to me before you were interrupted?"
I couldn't speak.
Awe-struck.......once again.......and everything falling back into right place.

"Awe ignites joy because it makes us bend the knee........and we are in deepest happiness in the posture of grateful worship." Ann Voskamp, One Thousand Gifts

May today you be awe-struck as a child seeing the beauty of the Lord which is all around you. All is new........All is glory. May that come before you likewise can speak.
Day and night they never stop saying: "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty, who was, and is, and is to come." Revelation 4:8
"Then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them singing: 'To Him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb....be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!'" Revelation 5:13
